Birth	As per a application for Annuity under the Railroad Retirement Act dated August 1, 1946 on back of the form (page 2) it states under Remarks, "I was born at mid-night on January 6, 1880 and have always used Jan. 6th as my birth date. I did not know until recently my birth date had been recorded January 7th."

(stated on an application for annuity under the railroad retirement act dated August 1,1946) He was a Chief Clerk, his dutys were office and traveling. He worked for Southern Railway Company in East Saint Louis, Illinois. He started Jan. 1, 1937 and Retired 28 Oct. 1946 from the Railroad.` He had a cut on his wrist. He also worked as a fire and police commissioner from 1940 to 1951 Wife is based on change of beneficiary dated Nov. 14, 1936 where it states "fiancee" Catherine Helge - in place of his mother Johanna Maher.
